TWO PETERITES AND ISIPATHANA IN NECK TO NECK

The two Peterites Santhush Gunatileka , Lakshina Rodrigo and Isipathana’s Sanjula Abeywickrema were the three leading contenders for the Sunday Observer/Mobitel Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer title 2017 at the end of the 23rd week count.Gunatileka and Rodrigo were top performers for the Peterites during the school cricket season while Sanjula Abeywickrema of Isipathana also was among the runs for his school. The three cornered tussle was prevailing some time.

PETERITE SANTHUSH ON TOP WITH 24,465 MAJORITY

Santhush Gunatileka of St.Peter’s College, Bambalapitiya maintained his top position with a majority of 24,465 votes in the penultimate week’s polling (57,847)votes against his name while Isipathana’s Sanjula Abeywickrema with (33382) votes remained at the number two slot while Peterite Lakshina Rodrigo who polled in ( 28999) votes slipped down to third place in the division 1 category at the end of the 20th week count in the Sunday Observer/ Mobitel Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer Of The year contest, 2017.

PETERITE SANTHUSH GUNATILEKA CRUISING AHEAD

Santhush Gunatileka of St.Peter’s College, Bambalapitiya maintained his top position for another week with (49745)votes against his name while Isipathana’s Sanjula Abeywickrema with (31040) votes remained at the number two slot and Peterite Lakshina Rodrigo who polled in ( 28797) votes was at third place in the division 1 category at the end of the 19th week count in the Sunday Observer/ Mobitel Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer Of The yearcontest.

Santhush Gunatileka of St.Peter’s College, Bambalapitiya maintained his top position with (39,709) while Isipathana’s Sanjula Abeywickrema with (27,927) ousted Peterite Lakshina Rodrigo (26,437) to the third place place in the division 1 category at the end of the 18th week count in the Sunday Observer/ Mobitel Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer Of The year contest 2017.

Lakshina Rodrigo of St.Peter’s College Bambalapitiya took the lead in the division 1 school category in the first week’s count at the Sunday Observer/ Mobitel Schoolboy Cricketer Of The year 2017 contest. Rodrigo a prolific scorer in the school cricket season and the Peterite skipper polled in 1168 votes to Avishka Fernando of St.Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa who had 546 votes.
